94 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "A real stand out, the 2013 Pinot Noir Giusti Ranch is the most exciting wine in this range from Kosta Browne. A wild, almost exotic bouquet melds into a core of intense, punchy fruit, all supported by vibrant beams of acidity and tannin. Pomegranate, blood orange, spices and mint explode onto the resonant finish. The interplay of structure and the overt fruit is super-intriguing. At times, a hint of whole clusters comes through, but the 2013 was done with fully destemmed fruit. This is one of the most complete and compelling wines I have tasted from Kosta Browne. Readers who have access to the 2013 should not hesitate, as it is truly superb. (May 2015)"

94 points PinotReport: "Medium ruby color; bright cherry and plum aromas with light earthy notes; vivid raspberry, cherry and blackberry flavors; silky texture; good structure and balance; long finish. Vivid and precise flavors make this Pinot delicious to drink. 949 cases made. (9/15/15)"

92 points Wine Spectator: "Deceptively complex, with subtle, vibrant raspberry and blackberry flavors that are fresh and vibrant, revealing touches of black cherry and red plum that are expansive. Ends with a touch of crushed rock and fresh-turned earth. 949 cases made. (8/31/15)"

'Very highly recommended' and 91 points California Grapevine: "Medium ruby with a purplish tinge; attractive, forward, strawberry and Bing cherry aroma with spicy notes and hints of cedar chest and forest floor; medium to medium-full body; rich, extracted, though relatively soft, fleshy, red and black fruit flavors with good depth, structure, and acid balance; medium to medium-full tannin; lingering aftertaste. 14.8% alcohol; 949 cases; to be released Fall 2015. (Sep 2015)"

Producer notes: "The wine shows enticing aromas of cinnamon, rich red and black berries, along with baked cherry pie. This fresh California Pinot is typical of the Russian River Valley appellation, and shows layered flavors of black cherry and blackberry fruit compote. 95% destemmed; 5% whole cluster. Barrel aged 16 months in French oak (40% new). Alcohol 14.8%."
