92-94 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2020 Chambolle-Musigny Les Gruenchers 1er Cru has a clean and precise bouquet, the 70% whole bunch neatly integrated, predominantly red fruit here. The palate is medium-bodied with silky smooth tannins, very harmonious with satisfying depth on the saline finish. This is very promising. Drink: 2026-2050. (Dec 2021)"

91-93+ points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2020 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Gruenchers wafts from the glass with aromas of cherries, sweet red berries, exotic spices and rose petals. Medium to full-bodied, ample and perfumed, with melting tannins and lively acids, it concludes with a long, saline finish. (Jan 2022)"

90-93 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Two thirds of the Gruenchers come from purchases to supplement their own grapes. 70% whole bunch. Fine mid purple. As ever, Gruenchers is less sensual than some Chambolle vineyards. There is, though, a good rich weight of fruit on the front of the palate, a little drier behind before a sweet cherry finish. (Dec 2021)"

90-93 points/'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(<40% whole clusters). Pungent aromas of bourgeon de cassis and wood mask the underlying fruit. There is a bit more size, weight and richness to the more seductively textured medium-bodied flavors that display excellent power on the chewy, serious and borderline rustic finale. This too will require at least some patience as it's also fairly tightly wound at present. Drink: 2030+. (Jan 2022)"
