91-93 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2020 Beaune Les Cents Vignes 1er Cru, which is 50% de-stemmed, has a lively bouquet, earthier than David Croix’s other cuvées, delineated with a light tobacco scent surfacing with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with gritty tannins, quite structured with that whole bunch quite vocal on the finish. Give this 4-5 years in bottle to meld together. Drink: 2025-2037. (Dec 2021)"
92 points Charles Curtis, MW (Decanter): "Aged mostly in used casks, this has a lovely, spicy red fruit character, with earth and mineral notes, and a supple texture with finely-grained tannins and surprising freshness to give a medium-bodied, balanced impression. Well done. David Croix farms several different parcels in Cent Vignes, most of them planted in the 1950s; the total surface is 1.1ha. In recent years he has been increasing the amount vinified as whole clusters. In 2020 he began to pick here on the 24th August. Drinking Window: 2025-2050. (Nov 2021)"
90-92 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "50% whole bunch vinification I suspect has really made a difference. Strawberry and cherry, ripe rounded but with a little zest. No more than medium depth from this vineyard, with a flavour redolent of ripe grape skins. This wine from what can be a tricky terroir as been nicely handled. (Oct 2021)"
90-92 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "This too is markedly floral in character with additional notes of herbal tea, ripe red berries and a more subtle touch of earth. The sleek, succulent and highly energetic medium-bodied flavors possess a more refined if less seductive mouthfeel, all wrapped in a firm, complex and sneaky long finish. This too is lovely. Drink: 2027+. (Apr 2022)"
