93 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2012 l’Énfant Jésus is stellar and was one of the best red wines I tasted in the cellars at Maison Bouchard on this trip. The deep, complex and beautifully pure nose soars from the glass in a blend of cherries, plums, a touch of red currant, woodsmoke, gamebird, lovely minerality, coffee, violets and cedar. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and very elegant on the attack, with a sappy core of fruit, ripe tannins and excellent length and grip on the focused and youthful finish. High class. 2020-2060. (Nov/Dec 2013)"

93 points Wine Spectator: "Blackberry, black currant, violet, licorice and tar aromas and flavors signal this dense red. Fresh and firmly structured, with a taut finish. Shows fine purity and elegance. Best from 2016 through 2025. 150 cases imported. (4/30/15)"

92 points and 'Sweet spot/Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a 4 ha parcel). There is a trace of reduction present but not enough to materially detract from the violet, plum and liqueur-like dark currant aromas that are trimmed in a discreet application of wood. There is a beguiling sense of underlying tension to the broad-shouldered, rich, intense and like the Clos de la Mousse, relatively powerful flavors that exude a fine minerality on the serious, balanced and saline-inflected finish. This should be excellent in time though note that patience will be required. Drink: 2024+. (Jun 2014)"

92 ponts La Revue du Vin de France: "The 2012 Grèves 1er cru Vigne de l'Enfant Jésus remains the most complex wine. (2015)"
