93-95 points Fine Wine Review: "Complex vegetal (positive) aromas, smooth, round, more volume than Clos de la Mousse. Dark grapy cassis fruit, no overripeness, good freshness, very approachable. Domaine wine. (4/1/20)"

92-95 points Jasper Morris, MW: "Excellent bright purple colour. The nose includes a healthy proportion of oak showing, though only 20% in fact. 20% whole bunch on the old vines which helps refresh the finish. This stretches out very well to the back of the palate and will refine with age. Good tension at the back. (Nov 2019)"

94 points James Suckling: "A rich, creamy-textured red with ripe-strawberry, chocolate, stone and hazelnut aromas and flavors. It’s full and layered with attractive fruit and lightly chewy yet polished tannins. Flavorful finish. Subtle, yet structured. Try after 2022. (8/25/20)"

92-94 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2018 Beaune 1er Cru Les Grèves Vigne de l'Enfant Jesus is a promising bottle in the making, offering up a deep bouquet of dark berry fruit, dried flowers, dark chocolate, espresso roast and toasty new oak. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, deep and concentrated, with a muscular core of fruit, ripe tannins and a long, expansive finish. Weber observes that analytically this is very similar indeed to the 1947 vintage of l'Enfant Jesus, and that wine is certainly drinking brilliantly today. (Jan 2020)"

92-94 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2018 Beaune Les Grèves Vigne de L'Enfant Jesus 1er Cru, from the 3.9-hectare monopole in Grèves, has a lovely, floral, very pure bouquet that frankly puts Bouchard’s other Beaune Premier Crus in their place. The medium-bodied palate delivers supple tannin, fine acidity and pure black cherry and blueberry fruit with wonderful details on the finish. This is very classy and punches with many more expensive Premier Crus in the Côte de Nuits. Drink: 2022-2042. (Jan 2020)"

93 points Tim Atkin, MW (Decanter): "Bouchard's evocatively named parcel is a monopoly holding that covers 3.9ha on sand and gravel soils in the heart of Beaune Grèves. Picked early but still pretty ripe, this has tobacco pouch and clove aromas from 20% whole bunches, layers of mulberry and raspberry fruit, aromatic 20% new wood and a backdrop of sinewy, granular tannins. Drinking Window: 2023-2030. (Oct 2019)"

93 points World of Fine Wine: "Supple, with a creamy coating over a firm structure, and huge depth. Restrained, subtle, complex, compelling. (Issue #67; 2020)"
