95-97 points Anne Krebiehl, MW (Falstaff): "The faintest touch of reduction obscures the initial hint of conifer and red cherry and the nose remains shy. The palate shows stoniness, depth, structure: there is something muscular and pervasive at play, something undoubtedly powerful. A genie in a bottle. Drink 2028-2050. (3/24/21)"

96 points James Suckling: "What a fragrant nose of flowers, cherries, licorice and delicate spice! Very elegant and lacy on the medium-bodied palate with breathtaking integration of fine fruit and fine tannins. Super-silky, long finish that’s very sensual. Drink or hold. (8/16/21)"

96 points Charles Curtis, MW (Decanter): "Bouchard purchased the site in 1791 and now hold 3.92ha. Fred Weber describes the vineyard as the 'fillet mignon' within Beaune-Grèves. Not surprisingly given the age/bottle size, primary characters are very dominant but there is clearly massive potential here. As the wine breathes, lovely aromas of raspberry/blackberry and violets evolve. Rich, ripe, pure dark fruit on the palate, subtle oak, mouthfilling and concentrated, with silky tannin and vibrant acidity providing the structure for long-term ageing. A great vintage and a great Beaune Premier Cru. Drinking Window: 2024-2035. (Nov 2022)"

94 points Bruce Sanderson (Wine Spectator): "[$165 list] Though taut and reticent in its aromas and flavors, this red builds on the palate to a long finish. Black cherry and sandalwood notes are the main themes, while toasty oak and a graphite element linger on the aftertaste. This feels like a thoroughbred ready to run. Best from 2023 through 2035. 150 cases imported. (Jan/Feb 2022)"

92-94 points/'Sweet spot/Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a 4-ha parcel). A markedly floral-suffused nose blends red and dark currant scents with those of a plethora of spice and earth elements. There is impressive volume to the caressing but solidly punchy and powerful middle weight plus flavors that possess better depth and superb length. Excellent and very much built-to-age. Drink: 2034+. (Apr 2021)"

93 points Jasper Morris, MW: "A powerful dark colour on the more sombre side. This is a stern and muscular Beaune Grèves with dark fruit, some blacker notes which this vineyard can manage. Long and powerful with the black cherries taking charge. I do not find this over-extracted, just a baby waiting to develop, with some minerality offering further encouragement for a good long term outcome. Drink from 2027-2035. Tasted: September 2023."
