93 points Stephan Reinhardt (Wine Advocate): "Wittmann's 2014 Riesling GG Brunnenhäuschen is clear, deep and well concentrated on the chalky nose; there are ripe white and zesty fruit aromas, along with very discreet oaky flavors. This is a full-bodied, intense and concentrated, yet elegant wine with tension, vitality and a lovely old vines expression. It is serious and age-worthy Riesling with lots of tickling minerals in the aftertaste. (AP #18/15) Drink: 2020-2026. (8/30/16)"
92 points David Schildknecht (Vinous): "[$130 list] Bittersweet floral notes not unlike those in the corresponding Kirchspiel soar from the glass with attention-getting intensity. But flowers are hardly the dominant inner-mouth feature: raw phenolic concentration here encompasses lemon and kumquat zests along with invigorating crunched-seed piquancy. Fortunately, it tastes as though those seeds are nutty brown and perfectly ripe. As it takes on air, a suggestion of white peach flesh conveys some fruit juiciness that helps assuage this compact wine’s severity. The finish is penetratingly long and cheek-pinching, formidable rather than amiable. Although the volume of this bottling is once again small (around 1,300 bottles), now that Wittmann has amassed 1.5 hectares in Brunnenhäusen a larger amount of wine is expected to make the cut in the future. (May 2016)"
92 points Wine Spectator: "A rich, juicy and powerful white, with lightly creamy flavors of Asian pear, green apple and dried apricot, matched to crisp acidity. The minerally finish features notes of ripe lime and ginger that lengthen out nicely. Drink now through 2021. 100 cases made. (6/15/16)"
