97 points Tim Atkin, MW (Decanter): "Cécile Tremblay's 0.2ha parcel is entirely located in the Echézeaux du Dessus climat and is now around 50 years' old. Aged in two-thirds new wood, this is another world-class wine from a domaine that has surpassed itself in 2018. Rose petal and lily aromas lead you into a palate that's silky yet refreshing with wild strawberry and pink grapefruit flavours and the balance of a tightrope walker. Drinking Window: 2024-2032. (Oct 2019)"

97 points/'Le Coup de Coeur,' La Revue du Vin de France: "A bewitching nose, with peony floral freshness and citrus peel in the Echézeaux, whose slender, exhausted frame unfurls with elegance, with tannins that are well structured and full-bodied. (2021)"

95-97 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "There are three and a quarter barrels of the brilliant 2018 Echézeaux du Dessus Grand Cru, a dramatic and expressive wine that soars from the glass with aromas of spices, burning embers, red berries, cassis, citrus peel and plums. It's full-bodied, satiny and enveloping, with a broad, creamily textural attack, striking mid-palate amplitude and a long, resonant finish of notable purity and precision. This isn't too far off the level of the 2015 rendition, the wine I would single out as the best Echézeaux that Tremblay has bottled to date. (Jan 2020)"

93-97 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Not one of the deepest colours, a very engaging purple. Light, and airy, pretty yet still very ripe red cherry, beautiful fruit density behind and great length with a little bit of blood orange. Very well balanced at the back. (Nov 2019)"

96 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2018 Echézeaux from Domaine Cécile Tremblay is a gorgeous wine in the making. The bouquet is simply brilliant, wafting from the glass in a refined blend of sweet dark berries, black plums, a complex base of dark soil tones, roasted gamebird, a touch of fresh nutmeg, woodsmoke and nutty new oak. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and rock solid at the core, with great focus and mineral drive, ripe, buried tannins and stunning length and grip on the poised, well-balanced and immensely complex finish. Great juice. 2032-2085. (Nov/Dec 2019)"

94-96 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2018 Echézeaux du Dessus Grand Cru has an exquisite bouquet with incense and potpourri aromas infusing the dark red fruit, wonderfully defined and focused, the 70% new oak seamlessly integrated. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, superb poise and a lightly spiced, marmalade-tinged finish that lingers. One of the best Echézeaux that Tremblay has produced. Drink: 2023-2045. (Jan 2020)"
