92-96 points Jasper Morris, MW: "Tasted from a new 400 litre barrel. Clear bright colour with a green tint. There is no wood effect yet on the nose. This has the sunshine feel, with peaches at the back, very obviously Right Bank in style, yet with excellent grip. Tasted from older wood (228l barrel), it was more closed in nose, leaner on the palate, more austere until the last taste. (May 2019)"

92-94 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2018 Chablis 1er Cru Chapelot is brilliant this year, and well worth a special effort to seek out. Revealing a pretty bouquet of white peach, green apple, spring flowers and wheat toast, it's medium to full-bodied, satiny and enveloping, with exquisite textural finesse, lively acids and excellent depth at the core, concluding with a long, precise finish. This is a charming, elegant Chapelot that will offer a broad drinking window. (Aug 2019)"

93+ points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "There has not been a bottling of Chapelot in the Raveneaus’ cellars since the 2011 vintage, as the crops have been so small since that time that it has had to be blended in with the Montée de Tonnerre. Happily, there is once again one here in 2018 and it is a beautiful wine in the making. The wine is expressive and simply gorgeous on the nose, offering up scents of pear, apple, a nice touch of orange zest, a fine base of limestone minerality, beeswax, a hint of flowers and just a whisper of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied, long and really has great dimension in the mid-palate, with bright, racy acids, fine focus and grip and a very long, very refined and nascently complex finish. I love the gentle closing note of anise on the backend here! 2023-2055. (Nov/Dec 2019)"

93 points/'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "This is restrained to the point of being almost mute and it requires aggressive swirling to coax notes of airy mineral reduction, citrus rind and plenty of seashore nuances to reveal themselves. The slightly richer and rounder flavors possess somewhat finer texture though at the expense of less minerality and detail on the clean and bone-dry bitter lemon-infused finale that isn't quite as complex. Even so, this is still excellent. Drink: 2030+. (Nov 2020)"
