96 points Tyson Stelzer (The Champagne Guide): "(2008 base vintage; disgorged June 2014; perpetual reserve solera of 19 vintages spanning 1988 through 2008, missing only the inferior 1999 and 2003; stored 18 months on lees in tank before blending; 4g/L dosage from grape juice aged in a small barrel; DIAM closure). Few reserves can boast such ravishing integration, seamless internal harmony and sheer completeness, a credit to both the genius of this modified solera and the painstakingly tended vines that feed it. The contrast of eminent refinement and bewildering complexity is other-worldly, broadcasting lively freshness of lemon and grapefruit, set against a deeply layered backdrop of brioche and crème brûlée. Its richness is profound, held in focus by the formidable presence of salt chalk mineral structure. The brilliant crystalline purity of the exquisitely refreshing 2008 vintage makes for the best blend of this cuvée yet. (2016-2017)"

94 points Simon Field, MW (Decanter): "What precisely has been forgotten here? According to Rodolphe this cuvée is an on-trade speciality with great gastronomic potential, a blend form the three vessels which make up his Perpetual Reserve, the blend aged in tank for a year and then, for good measure, aged for an extra year on its fine lees on natural cork. Almost as if it has been forgotten in the cellar! Best not forgotten, this one, such is its complexity, the savoury notes of tobacco, iodine and even saffron perfectly poised; this is essentially a mature Chardonnay, the spices complemented by notes of dried apricot, honey and softly buttered toast. Drinking Window: 2021-2026. (7/12/21)"

94 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "The NV Brut Réserve Oubliée (base 2015 ) marries freshness, tension and the complexity that emerges from the perpetual reserve in this blend. Wonderfully complex and layered, with striking aromatic presence, the Réserve Oubliée has so much going on. Marzipan, dried flowers, mint, lemon confit and spice build in the resonant, creamy finish. Dosage is 4.5-5.5 grams per liter. Disgorged: December, 2020. Drink: 2021-2030. (Nov 2021)"

93+ points Stephan Reinhardt (Wine Advocate): "Rodolphe Péter's NV Réserve Oubliée is 100% Grand Cru Chardonnay from a solera whose youngest vintage was the 2010; it was kept in oak, cement and stainless steel vats and disgorged in September 2015 with a dosage of 4.7 grams. The 2010-based Réserve Oubliée is the last edition aged under crown cap, since then the wines age under natural cork. The wine opens very pure and intense on the nose, with dried lemon and potted ginger flavors. It is pure, fresh, complex and highly elegant on the palate, very well structured, but also very delicate; it reveals a lovely grip and a remarkably long and persistent finish. Drink: 2018-2030. (Jun 2016)"

**(*) Peter Liem (ChampagneGuide.net): "This is the second edition of Péters’s Réserve Oubliée, essentially composed exclusively of reserve wines from a perpetual cuvée that was started in 1988. It’s expansive in fragrance, feeling broad, burnished and slightly spicy in tone, although it’s all pinned down by a firm acidic structure. The flavors are integrated together in a seamless whole, unfolding on the palate with clarity and grace, and they finish with exceptional length and detail. Last tasted: 3/14."
