97 points James Suckling: "Aromas of smoked meat, dried roses, hot stones, and hints of dried fruit. Full body, dense and silky textured tannins. Flavorful and powerful. Yet not overdone. Need two to three years to open and give its pure beauty. But fantastic to drink now. (6/10/16)"

95-97 points Robert Parker: "The 2013 Pinot Noir Ma Danseuse (1,630 cases) is spectacular. Abundant notes of beet root, violets, and black raspberries are followed by a wine with beautiful purity, a medium to full-bodied mouthfeel, and a long, textured, heady finish. This stunning Pinot Noir can be enjoyed over the next 12-15 years. (Dec 2014)"

93 points Decanter: "Peter Michael’s steep Seaview Estate vineyards are on the reverse-slope of the first ridgeline in from the Pacific, with vine material from Burgundy. The plummy fruit, rich earth, rose and spice of this cuvée evoke the Côte d’Or: ample and authoritative. Lofty alcohol, but its vivid fruit tones avoid torrefaction. Drink: 2016-2030. Alcohol 15.1%. (Jul 2016)"

Producer notes: "Ma Danseuse charms the eye with its red ruby color and red-crimson color. The nose exhibits a bouquet of roses, raspberry, Griotte cherry, strawberry, forest floor and a subtle note of violet. Delicate, fragrant, complete and refined, 2013 Ma Danseuse has on the palate a wonderful concentration of red fruits, red rose blossoms, with subtle notes of Asian spices, hazelnut, mineral and pheasant fur, which embraces a silky texture and lingering aromatic finish. It will continue to express its potential for two decades. 100% naturally fermented using native yeasts Aged 16 months in 50% new French oak barrels. Alcohol: 14.4%."
