Producer notes: "The collaboration of Dom Pérignon and Lady Gaga brings together a common ambition to discover harmony in tensions, and create by juxtaposing polarities and dualities. For Dom Pérignon there is an interplay between the personality of the year and the timeless aesthetic ideal, the dialog of freshness and maturity, shadows and light. Dom Pérignon Rosé Vintage 2008 bears witness to an exceptional year in a decade of brazenly generous sun. Gray, overcast skies dominated spring and summer in 2008, resulting in a deficit of both light and warmth. The maturity of the grapes surpassed all expectations, revealing exceptional high-toned balance. The bouquet instantly opens with raspberries, rapidly joined by notes of violet. Greener nuances then arrive, evoking angelica."

99 points James Suckling: "This shows incredible depth of fruit with strawberry, cherry and phenolics. Full-bodied and layered with an incredible, three-dimensional element to the wine. This is so transparent and dynamic with dark fruit, yet it remains vivid and bright. Refined and precise, it goes on and on. Really savory, fresh and incredibly pinot-noir-like. What a wine. 13 years of maturation in the bottle. So drinkable now, but it will age for many years ahead. (7/18/22)"

96-99 points Essi Avellan, MW: "What to expect from a Dom Pérignon Rosé from the super dynamic Richard Geoffroy - Vincent Chaperon duo? To expect the unexpected, I have learned. I love how Vincent calls the 2008, ’untamed, carnal and magnetic’. There is nothing shy to it even if the vintage normally comes across coolly restrained. Boldly fruity, boldly Dom Pérignon, there is flesh and richness to support the zingy drive and spicy extravagance. So slow-ageing that we can call it a prelude today, the wine shines with its sumptuous pure fruitiness and Pinot power deriving from red wine from Champs de Linotte plot in Hautvillers and Vauzelles in Aÿ. An intriguing melange of delicious sweet cherry fruit, floral tulip whiffs, blood orange, coffee and saffron. The palate is firmly structured and tight for the time being, speaking of longevity. Still, there is at the same time immediate elegance and charm to it on the lingering, dancing palate. (Aug 2022)"

97 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The newly released 2008 Dom Pérignon Rosé is a dramatic, perfumed wine, bursting with aromas of blood orange, iodine, sweet citrus fruit, peach and pear mingled with hints of buttered toast, smoke and spices. Full-bodied, textural and enveloping, with terrific concentration, racy acids and a pillowy mousse, it concludes with a long, penetrating finish. It derives its intense hue from red wine produced from Pinot Noir grown in lieux-dits Chants de Linottes in Hautvillers and Vauzelles in Aÿ. Drink: 2022-2042. (Aug 2022)"

97 points Wine Spectator: "An impeccably balanced and graceful sparkling rosé, with a plushly creamy mousse. It's hard to tell where the firm spine of well-honed acidity and the expressive range of pureed raspberry, candied ginger, tangerine and lemon thyme flavors begin or end. A rich hint of smoky toasted brioche plays on the finish. Drink now through 2033. (11/15/21)"

97 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "The 2008 Dom Pérignon Rosé is magnificent. Rich and deep in the glass, the 2008 offers up an exotic mélange of aromas and flavors. Sweet red cherry, mint, orange peel and rose petal all grace this beguiling beauty. Bright acids and a little less still red Pinot (21%) than in most recent editions yields a Rosé that is delicate and light on its feet, with less of the vinous intensity that marked vintages such as 2006. There is a classic feeling of austerity in the 2018 that is mesmerizing. Drink: 2026-2048. (Nov 2021)"

97 points Falstaff: "Medium salmon pink, delicate pinkish glints, silver touch, persistent, creamy mousse. A crisp biscuity tone underpins red fruit nuances such as sweetheart cherries, pineberries, white flowers, orange zest, and a sprig of fresh mint. On the palate, vibrant freshness is embraced with dark forest berries, but also cranberries mingled with herbs such as thyme and rosemary, as well as a slight honey nuanced core. The wine offers an ethereal quality, accentuated by soft toasted aromas on the finish, resulting in great length, and mineral reverberations. An accessible, multifaceted food companion with ageing potential. (11/19/21)"

97 points/'Coup de Coeur,' La Revue du Vin de France: "The 2008 rosé remains a true signature of the house. It is a sparkling wine with great finesse and complexity. (2023)"

95 points Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2008 Champagne Rosé is another elegant expression, offering notes of cardamom, strawberry, and dried flowers. The palate is dry and well-structured and is balanced and long on the finish, with notes of dried orange peel, redcurrant, and fantastic salinity. It has a great application at the table and should continue to improve over the next 15-20 years. Drink: 2022-2042. (11/7/22)"

95 points Yohan Castaing (Decanter): "Offering up aromas of white flowers, red berries, toast and fresh pastry, Dom Pérignon rosé 2008 is medium to full-bodied, tense and vibrant, with a vinous texture and sapid nuances. Delicately phenolic, this is a pure and racy gastronomic champagne that’s beginning to drink with style. It concludes with a long and penetrating finish. Drinking Window: 2021-2035. (May 2021)"
