92+ points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "While there is no information on this bottle for the base year, this is clearly a wine that has a fair bit of bottle age on it and the wine is really starting to develop some secondary complexity on both the nose and palate; I would guess that this is probably at least ten years out from its base year. The bouquet wafts from the glass in a classy blend of apple, peach, warm bread, complex minerality. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, complex and has nice mineral drive on the backend, with elegant mousse, a fine core and excellent length and grip on the still quite snappy finish. 2019-2040. (Nov/Dec 2019)" br>
Richard Juhlin: "Madame Ledru owns 6 hectares in Bouzy and Ambonnay. The wines are true to their origin. Full-bodied style. She took over when her parents became pensioners in 1984. She is moving more and more in the direction of organic, natural vinification. 85% of her vineyards are planted with Pinot Noir and on average the vines are 40 years old. The wines are very full-bodied and opulent in a style that is typical of their origin. Very great Pinot grower indeed."
