90-93 points and 'Sweet spot/Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "An interesting nose is composed by notes of pink grapefruit, acacia blossom and essence of pear. There is a wonderful texture to the caressing yet powerful middle weight plus flavors that possess an excellent sense of underlying tension before culminating in a delineated and driving finish. I was really impressed with this and it is very much recommended. Drink: 2022+. (Jun 2017)"

91-92 points Stephen Tanzer (Vinous): "(tasted from tank): Pale yellow with a green tinge. Distinctly citric aromas of lemon, lime and white flowers. Very fresh and penetrating, showing excellent density leavened by terrific lift; boasts superb limestone intensity. A subtle salinity carries through to the almost painful palate-staining finish. A real outperformer for its appellation. (Sep 2017)"

90-92 points Neal Martin (Wine Advocate): "The 2015 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Les Frionnes has a complex bouquet with hints of white flowers intermingling with the citrus and stony aromas. The palate is fresh and crisp on the entry, the acidity very nicely judged here and lending wonderful harmony and focus. It gently fans out on the finish with hints of greengage and citrus peel, completing a superb Saint-Aubin from Olivier Lamy. This comes recommended. (Dec 2016)"

90 points William Kelley (Decanter): "The Frionnes is one of the more reserved, taut wines in the cellar, with a subtle bouquet of lime, lemon, apple and spring flowers. This is followed on the pure, full-bodied palate by an expansive attack, but a zingy, keenly-focussed finish. (Drink between 2017-2030. (Jan 2017)"

90 points Tim Atkin, MW (Jan 2017).
