95 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2016 Kirchspiel from Klaus-Peter Keller is a beautifully refined example of this marvelous vintage, coming in at an even thirteen percent octane and offering up a very pure, nascently complex nose of grapefruit, green orange, lemongrass, complex limestone soil tones, wild yeasts and petrol. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, focused and racy, with a superb core of fruit, great backend mineral drive, ripe, buried acids and great length and grip on the complex and utterly seamless finish. This is a young wine that deserves a good decade in the cellar, and it may shut down for a while, but it is so beautifully balanced that it is already pretty easy to drink in its remarkable youth. 2026-2065. But the wine delivers a veritable mouthful of chalk along with juicy, oregano-laced lime, grapefruit and white peach. Her gentle perfume of elderflower and fine citrus aromas certainly invites you to make her acquaintance. On the palate, gooseberry and grapefruit cause a certain tingle, further stimulation of the taste buds being provided by a sprinkling of fresh green herbs and a cool, salty tang.
