96 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "I am not sure why the stars seemingly aligned so beautifully for the Kirchspiel GG in the 2020 vintage, but this is unequivocally the greatest example of young Kirchspiel I have ever tasted from Klaus-Peter Keller! The wine again is perfectly ripe and 12.5 percent alcohol and offers up a celestial young bouquet of lemon, tart orange, a very, very complex base of limestone minerality, just a hint of wild yeasts, citrus zest and a potpourri of spring flowers in the upper register. On the palate the wine is deep, pure, full-bodied and racy, with a gorgeous core of fruit, superb backend minerality, bright, snappy acids and truly stunning length and grip on the seamless and dancing finish. There is a sense of refinement here in the Kirchspiel in 2020 that is usually reserved for the Abtserde! A brilliant young wine. 2033-2085. (Jan/Feb 2022)"

96 points Stuart Pigott (JamesSuckling.com): "Slight funk (from reduction) at first, but it quickly blossoms in the glass and a wealth of citrus aromas emerge, ranging from blossoms to candied peel. Brimming with white peach, sliced pear and citrus fruit, but very elegant on the front palate. Then comes a positive touch of citrus-pith bitterness at the long finish. Drink or hold. (10/5/21)"

95 points Mosel Fine Wines: "AP: 24 21. The 2020er Kirchspiel Riesling, as it is referred to on the consumer label, is a bone-dry wine made from vines planted in 1964 in the upper part of the vineyard. It offers a most engaging and deeply compelling and fresh nose of magnificent fresh and pure herbal and spicy elements, lime, grapefruit zest, and mint. The wine proves very pure, intensely energic, and razor sharp (without being aggressive) on the palate. It then develops more density and presence, yet this density is well wrapped into a core of vibrating acidity and salty elements. The finish is extremely long, finely aromatic, and fully bone-dry. This is one of the most beautiful renditions of Kirchspiel we have ever tasted. This great filigreed and refined expression so typical of the vineyard is a huge success in 2020. 2028-2045. (Sep 2021)"

19/20 points Michael Schmidt (JancisRobinson.com): "Far from the wild and funky excesses of spontaneous fermentation, it can also take on a most enchanting herbal expression with just a gentle nod to the Provence and that’s the fragrant route the Kirchspiel goes down. If you were lulled into a sensory comfort zone by the nose, you will snap out of it on the palate, where the taste of cool mint and salty minerality is even more vitalised by lemony acidity and a sorrel-like crunch. Austere but not mean. Drinking Window: 2023-2032. (8/30/21)"
