96 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2022 Vouvray “Clos du Bourg” Demi-Sec also comes in at an even thirteen percent octane in this vintage (like the le Haut Lieu version) and offers up absolutely stunning purity and depth on the nose. The bouquet is a gorgeous blend of apple, sweet quince, a complex base of chalky minerality, white lilies, honeycomb, orange zest, bee pollen and an exotic touch of lavender in the upper register. On the palate the wine is pure, seamless and full, with stunning depth at the core, great soil inflection, zesty acids and laser-like focus on the very long, perfectly balanced and complex finish. This has that same ethereal lightness of step of the le Haut Lieu Demi-Sec and both wines remind me very strongly of the legendary 1989s here when they too were young! 2023-2085. (Jul/Aug 2023)"

95 points Wine Spectator: "This voluptuous, full-bodied, off-dry white shows a lot of power, offering round pear, mango and honeycomb flavors that take a salty turn on the palate, with notes of brine, crushed flint and bitter almond skin, backed by a subtle hint of brioche on the finish. Opening up in the glass, this gorgeous wine offers loads of immediate charm, but should have a long life ahead in the cellar as well. Drink now through 2035. 1,000 cases made. (11/30/23)"

95 points Beverley Blanning, MW (Decanter): "The standout of the three demi-secs made by this iconic Vouvray producer in 2022, beautifully fragrant with enticing aromas of linden blossom and honeysuckle. Silky-smooth, youthful fruit dances on the palate, a light floral sweetness balanced by a precise backbone of mineral acidity that will support the wine’s evolution. Altogether delicious now, this is a serious wine that will reward cellaring if you can resist pulling the cork. Drinking Window: 2024-2045. (1/30/24)"

95 points La Revue du Vin de France: "Le Clos du Bourg unfurls with a ravishing fullness, more shoulder-like, stripped of all superfluity. This wine's intoxicating sweetness goes straight to the heart of its mineral, fruity expression. (2024)"

94 points Rebecca Gibb, MW (Vinous): "The 2022 Clos du Bourg Demi-Sec is round and appealing, akin to a cozy night in with your slippers on; there's flesh and succulence, but it retains its shape and a sense of lightness on its feet. The ripeness of white stone fruit reminds me of nectarine and a heady floral character reminiscent of honeysuckle, even verging jasmine. And yet, it shows its pedigree in its fine texture and line. (RS 17.5g/L) Drink: 2023-2038. (Oct 2023)"
