95 points Tina Gellie (Decanter): "A sublime enigma of a dry Sherry with sweet suggestions, making it perfect as a festive mid-morning tipple with a mince pie or cherry fruitcake, as an aperitif with a plate of ham and cheese, or by the evening fireside alongside the freshly cracked walnuts. At this price, just buy it! Drinking Window: 2022-2050. (9/22/22)"

93 points James Suckling: "Leonor is a 12 year old Palo Cortado Sherry and described as the wild child of Jerez. It shows a light mahogany color with golden tones and a slight orange rim. On the nose intense and complex with notes of hazlenut perfectly balanced with aromas of bitter orange and mature oak. On the palate powerful and intense with toasted notes yet smooth and silky. Due to its power and structure this wine is perfect with mature cheeses and stong meats such as venison. Serve chilled. (8/2/18)"

92 points Wine & Spirits: "Here’s a terrific example of the classic Palo Cortado style: One side of this wine is sweet and unctuous, the other more delicate and dry. The two come together in a wine that balances a figgy richness with herbal and mineral notes that last until the very end, leaving a refreshing sensation. (Oct 2017)"

91 points Peñín Guide to Spanish Wine: "(palomino). Colour: iodine, amber rim. Nose: dry nuts, creamy oak, varnish, candied fruit. Palate: rich, long, spicy. (2022)"

91 points Wine Enthusiast: "Pungent and pure up front, this 12-year-old Palo Cortado smells nutty and like toffee, with notes of orange peel and apricot. The palate reflects the bouquet, meaning it's clean and exact, with buttery flavors of dried nuts and not too much salt. This runs smooth on the finish and would be ideal in a savory soup or with sautéed mushrooms. Alcohol 20%. (May 2016)"

91 points Falstaff (10/10/14).

90 points Wine Spectator: "This takes a friendlier approach, with honeysuckle, salted caramel, hazelnut husk and date notes allied to a fresh, racy frame. Dry in feel, but not severe. Drink now. 616 cases made, 175 cases imported. (10/15/19)"
