89-93 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "From two equal plots at either end, these grapes always ripen but keep good acidity. Gilbert stresses that you eed to avoid too high degrees but I am not sure he has quite got the balance this year. Hugely dense black purple in colour, with a slightly brutal nose. There is a vast density of fruit, very ripe notes, plums and figs, wait and see if this calms down. Tasted: November 2018. (Nov 2018)"
92 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "Aromas of ripe cherries, raspberries, licorice and kirsch that are framed by a deft touch of new wood introduce Felettig's 2017 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Fuées, a medium to full-bodied, ripe and powerful wine that's among the broader-shouldered, fleshier and more enveloping cuvées in the cellar this year. Unlike many vintages of Fuées, the 2017 should drink well with minimal cellaring. Drink: 2020-2037. (Nov 2019)"
Made famous by Frédéric Mugnier, Les Fuées is often called the baby brother of Bonnes Mares. The Felettig's own two parcels of vines in Les Fuées, with one planted to fifty-year-old vines on the border with Les Cras (and right next to Christophe Roumier's rows there) and the other, which are twenty years of age, which lie at the other end of the vineyard right next to Bonnes-Mares. The 2017 Felettig Les Fuées is a beautiful wine in the making. The wine is deep and sappy, with great purity and transparency, excellent focus, fine-grained tannins and a very long, vibrant finish.
