92-94 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2020 Chambolle-Musigny Les Lavrottes 1er Cru comes from the youngest vines on the estate, around 20-years old. They acquit themselves well, nicely defined with lively red fruit laced with marine-scents, hints of oyster shell. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, fresh and tensile with a vibrant and quite lively finish. This is a Chambolle with joie-de-vivre. Excellent. Drink: 2026-2050. (Dec 2021)"
91-93 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Younger vines but now they have hit 20 the tannins are getting tamed. 60% whole bunch vinification. Dense purple. Plenty happening on the nose but this has not yet settled down. Richer raspberry, more floral notes, some drier tannins behind, quite a mix here. Good length and acidity. Not quite ready to speak to us, but the component parts are there. (Dec 2021)"
90-93 points/'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(<25% whole clusters). Firm reduction. The rich, bold and solidly powerful medium-bodied flavors flash good minerality on the muscular, youthfully austere and impressively long if decidedly compact finale. I would advise not touching this for at least 5 years as it's pretty tightly wound. Drink: 2032+. (Jan 2022)"
