99 points Charles Curtis, MW (Decanter): "A stunningly beautiful wine from two small plots that total 0.13ha. The grapes are fermented as 50% whole clusters and since there is so little fruit, the wine is fermented directly in the same cask it will age in (fermentation integrale). There is more than enough substance to overcome the oak, however, and this has profuse aromas that range from pomegranate to black cherry and plum, accented with floral notes of rose petal and peonies, then exotic spices such as star anise and liquorice, along with a bit of smoke from the casks. Drinking Window: 2025-2040. (11/10/21)"

96-98 points/'Don't miss!' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a .13 ha holding). A strikingly floral-suffused nose features notes of kirsch, cassis, black raspberry and hints of wood. There is excellent volume to the velvet-textured and sappy flavors that exude ample minerality on the driving finish where hints of bitter chocolate and oak appear. This gorgeous effort is very firmly structured and should enjoy an exceptionally long life as it's very much built for it. Brilliant. Drink: 2040+. (Jan 2022)"

96-98 points Jasper Morris, MW: "Old vines here. Millerandage everywhere in the holding, so the policy is to keep whole bunches but to cut out the main stems. Noble, indeed imperial purple robe and the quality of the bouquet sings out even before my nose has got close to the glass. And then comes a little bit tingle from the whole bunch effect. Sumptuous and with a real buzz inside the darker raspberry fruit, very sensual and extremely long. (Nov 2021)"

96-98 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2020 Musigny Grand Cru is de-stemmed with hand with the central stem removed. It comprises of three feuillettes this year, equivalent to around 450 bottles (this continues the tradition of using feuillettes when you could use one tailor-made barrel.) Containing 50% whole bunch and only new wood, it has a fragrant bouquet that is beautifully-defined with exuberant red fruit, crushed stone and a hint of liquorice. It fans out wonderfully towards the finish, silky smooth, vivid and sensual. This is a gorgeous Musigny that will age supremely well. Drink: 2030-2070. (Dec 2021)"

97 points Christy Canterbury, MW (TimAtkin.com): "Chocolate, cassis, black plums and pine needles... the list of aromatics goes on and on. This is dense in flavor yet buoyed by crackling acidity. It is complex and long, yet it is approachable as it is cerebral. The tannins stay silky smooth through the dreamy, long finish. This is aged entirely in "Musignettes", or 60-liter mini barrels hand-crafted for Faiveley by François Frères. 2023-44. (2022)"
