93-95 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "A clear crimson purple. There is more tension on the nose, much more about the fruit than the stems. The fruit is certainly ripe enough, while the white pepper leaps up to dominate the back end. Still quite backward. Very linear. 81.3% stems included. Not as plump as some years but extra fine. Drink from 2027-2034. (Dec 2022)"

93-95 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2021 Vosne-Romanée Les Beaux Monts 1er Cru had just a very slight reduction, but there is plenty of well-defined raspberry and wild strawberry fruit present and correct here. The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannins, pretty and very pure, smooth but I would not say 'silky' in texture, full of tension with a touch of sour cherry on the fresh sapid finish. Drink: 2025-2045. (Jan 2023)"

94 points Christy Canterbury, MW (TimAtkin.com): "Discreet on the nose, this hesitantly offers mulberries and fireplace smoke as it opens. The prominent acidity contrasts nicely with the powdery, gentle tannins. While the core is mid-weight, there is a pleasant, palate-coating breadth before the finish turns minerally and zippy. (2023)"

93 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "Les Beaux Monts is often one of the most black fruity premier crus to be found in Vosne-Romanée, but the Domaine Dujac’s version this year shows plenty of fine, red fruity shadings on both the nose and palate. The nose delivers scents of cherries, plums, chocolate, pigeon, dark soil tones, sweet stems, bonfire and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and tangy, with a fine core of fruit, good soil signature and focus, lovely balance and a long, complex and ripely tannic finish. Good juice. 2035-2085. (Nov/Dec 2022)"

93 points Charles Curtis, MW (Decanter): "The Beaux Monts from Dujac is also noticeably dark in colour, and much less expressive on the nose. On the palate, however, the density of the spicy, ripe blackberry fruit starts to open up. This wine is dense, solidly tannic, and very long. The grapes from the 0.73-hectare parcel near the bottom of the slope were picked late (on 29 September) and were mostly destemmed before fermentation to produce this classic wine that should open in a few years and present real potential for ageing. Drinking Window: 2027-2050. (Nov 2022)"

92-93 points Steen Öhman (Winehog): "Darkish fruit, with only a few of the usual blueberries, this is intense, with the oak a bit forward, but nicely balanced. While not a big wine, the fresh pinot note of the 2021 vintage is the shining through. I do like the ’21s. Drink from 2030. (10/11/22)"

91-93 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2021 Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Les Beaux Monts reveals notes of red berries, plums, vine smoke, exotic spices and bergamot. Medium to full-bodied, supple and sensual, with a fleshy core of perfumed fruit and melting structuring tannins, it's charming and elegant. (Jan 2023)"
