96 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "TAromas of dark cherries, licorice, peonies and sweet spices, framed by a deft touch of classy new oak, introduce the 2020 Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru, a full-bodied, ample and satiny wine that's fleshy and gourmand, its sweet, powdery tannins entirely concealed in an enveloping core of vibrant fruit. Such is its underlying substance and incipient complexity, however, that I suspect its immediate charm is deceptive. Drink: 2030-2060. (1/31/23)"

96 points Charles Curtis, MW (Decanter): "The fruit has retained a lovely delicacy and elegance, with aromas of ripe plums touched with liquorice and rose petal. There is a bit of reduction at this stage, but this will doubtless disappear with time. The texture is silky and very fine, with an approachable sensuality and a delightfully lingering finish. Dugat-Py owns five different parcels of Charmes for a total surface of 0.24ha; they own double that in Mazoyères. This bottling is two-thirds Charmes and one-third Mazoyères. In 2020 the picking began on the 20th August to restrain the alcohol and retain tension. Drinking Window: 2025-2050. (5/23/21)"

96 points La Revue du Vin de France: "A nose of strawberries and spices in the caressing, suave Charmes-Chambertin, smooth and precise, with a more discreet, restrained character. (2023)"

95 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(a blend of one-third Mazoyères and two-thirds Charmes proper - the fruit comes from a mix of mostly 20+ year-old vines and a small percentage of extremely old vines; 60% stems). A cool, pure and engagingly floral-suffused nose reflects additional notes of both red and dark currant, herbal tea, spice and earth. The lilting yet powerful middleweight flavors possess very fine mid-palate density as well as good minerality on the bitter cherry pit-inflected finale. This gorgeous effort also needs more depth, but the underlying material appears to be more than present for that to occur. Drink: 2035+. (Jan 2023)"
