92 points (16/20) La Revue du Vin de France: "With a floral, delicate, finely spiced texture and fruit reminiscent of blueberries, Les Evocelles delivers with a certain tenderness. (2018)"
91 points Stephen Tanzer (Vinous): "Good dark red. Very ripe on the nose but more restrained than the Coeur du Roy, offering aromas of black cherry and nutty oak. Much suaver in texture as well, offering a silky fullness as well as a firming touch of minerality to its cherry, spice and mocha flavors. Better-balanced than the Coeur du Roy and less aggressive on the back end. This wine displays the depth of the vintage as well as subtle mineral complexity. (Jan 2018)"
91 points/'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a .75 ha vineyard worked manually and by horse; vinified with 80% stems). A ripe but airy nose combines notes of various dark berries with floral, spice and a hint of wood. There is both good freshness and ample punch to the refined and stony middle weight flavors that possess a really lovely texture thanks to the relatively fine-grained tannins shaping the highly refreshing, balanced and sneaky long finish. This is notably finer though it's nowhere near as dense but even so, this also offers terrific quality for a villages level wine. Drink: 2025+. (Jan 2018)"
