92-95 points/'Don't miss!' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a parcel of 1.5 ha of vines planted in 1949). Here the wood is sufficiently prominent that it fights somewhat with the otherwise attractively layered aromas of elegant and very fresh plum, wild red berries and plenty of earth character. There is an ample dose of minerality to the velvety and palate coating middle weight plus flavors that display fine power and excellent detail, all wrapped in a long finish where the shaping tannins are very ripe. Drink: 2024+. (Jan 2014)"

92-94 points Neal Martin (Wine Advocate): "The 2012 Chambertin Clos de Beze Grand Cru has a fragrant bouquet with wild strawberry and redcurrant scents, forest floor and wild mint that expands in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with succulent ripe tannins, good acidity and plush blackberry and cassis fruit encasing the finish that is reminiscent of the Bonnes-Mares. Good length here – this is very fine, though not quite reaching for the stars. (12/29/13)"

19/20 ponts Jancis Robinson, MW: "Slightly dull, deep ruby. Very sumptuous nose – really gorgeous! Fully open and subtle and seductive. Dryish on the end but hints of liquorice and red fruits. Really very impressive. Intense charge of fruit. Vibrant finish. Fabulous. Drinking Window: 2020-2042. (10/31/13)"
