96 points Tim Atkin, MW: "From a single parcel of 0.5 hectares, three quarters of which is over 70 years’ old, this is Dominique Lafon’s favourite Premier Cru site, and he’s no bad judge. Picked early to retain acidity, this has real focus and bite, with sappy, mouth-watering acidity, subtle oak and just a hint of white peach. 2018-25. (Jan 2017)"

92-96 points Fine Wine Review: "Lafon's Genevrières has the typical nose, recalling junipers and with great finesse. The mouth is powerful for a Genevrières, with length, density, finesse, and nectarine fruit. The wine is still quite young and needs further time in cask. (5/5/17)"

94 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "Last year, the Genevrières was my favorite premier cru in the cellars, and it is again absolutely stellar in the 2015 vintage. This is classic Genevrières on the nose (perhaps Meursault’s most elegant wine), wafting from the glass in a fine mix of apple, pear, passion fruit, salty minerality, hazelnut, iodine and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, pure and very refined, with a fine core, bright, zest acids, excellent focus and grip and a very, very long, complex and classy finish. 2016-2035. (Nov/Dec 2016)"

94 points Stephen Tanzer (Vinous): "(bottled a week before my visit): Discreet, subtly spiced aromas of apple and lime blossom (Lafon noted that a bottle he opened the day before my visit was more reduced). Wonderfully precise, elegant, gingery wine with a lovely combination of energy and richness. This very pure, classic Genevrières boasts considerable early charm but should age very well. Really saturates the palate and dances on the long, scented finish. Drink: 2019-2028. (Sep 2017)"

91-94 points Allen Meadows and 'Outstanding,' (Burghound): "(from 40+ year old vines). This too is quite firmly reduced and about all that can be discerned is a trace of oak toast. The mouth feel of the much finer and less imposingly scaled flavors evidence a lovely minerality on the sappy finish that is both slightly more complex and more persistent. Despite being notably less powerful this is beautifully balanced and should easily repay up to a decade of keeping. Drink: 2023+. (Jun 2017)"

Bill Nanson (Burgundy Report): "Fuller, riper nose, still with freshness though. Bright, complex and really lovely flavour, waves of fine and complex notes. Never the finest, but often one of the tastiest! (Oct 2016)"
