92-94 points Pierre Rovani (Wine Advocate): "The mineral, apple, and pear-scented 2000 Meursault Charmes is a wine that combines both power and finesse. It explodes on the palate with candied pear, butter, anise, and spiced apple flavors that, while highly expressive, seem delicate and lace-like. It is medium-bodied, precise, and exceptionally long in the finish. (Dec 2001)"

Clive Coates (My Favorite Burgundies): "Still a very fresh colour. The nose has quite a bit more weight, depth, and concentration of fruit than the 2001. And more vigour and interest too. Fullish body. Quite a lot of succulence and vigour. Elegance too. Ready but will keep well. Fine plus. Dominique has always preferred this to his 1999. It has never gone through an adolescent phase, he says.(2013)"
