98 points Luis Gutiérrez (Wine Advocate): "[$140 list] The 2020 Adrianna Vineyard Fortuna Terrae shows exceptionally well. It's still young and juicy with some baby fat that should get rendered with some more time in bottle. It's a little lighter, and the tannins gave it grip and a chalky limestone sensation. But the wine is very expressive, with purity, clean and precise and not showing any signs of coming from a warmer year like 2020. It finishes with the telltale violets from the great Malbec grape coated by chalky minerality. This plot behaves well in warmer years like this one. It was bottled in October 2021. 5,400 bottles produced. (11/30/22)"

98 points James Suckling: "Blackberries, dark plums, dried earth, tar, paprika, lavender and bark on the nose. Medium-bodied, dark fruited and cool with very fine, velvety tannins. So supple, youthful and perfumed with lovely purity of fruit. Long, silky finish. Try in 2025. (11/30/22)"

96 points Amanda Barnes (Decanter): "A 'Burgundian' wine that pulsates with tension and yet has finesse, lifted perfume and effortless elegance. The epitome of Catena Zapata’s quest to unlock the true potential of high-altitude Malbec, this is made with predominantly whole bunches. Enticing layers of chalk, roses, exotic spice and wild raspberries. Drinking Window: 2023-2040. (Jul 2023)"

95 points Tim Atkin, MW: "'(13%). Alejandro Vigil eschewed the use of any new oak on this top red in 2021 because of the freshness and comparative delicacy of the year. Fermented with 100% whole clusters, it’s a floral, rose and potpourri scented Malbec, with mountain acidity, nuanced oak and bramble, raspberry and black cherry flavours. 2024-30. (2023)"

95 points Joaquín Hidalgo (Vinous): "The 2020 Malbec Catena Zapata Adrianna Vineyard Fortuna Terrae was 50% fermented with stems and spent up to 18 months in barrels. Because of the warm year, the grapes were harvested at four separate times, resulting in a ripe profile of plum, sour cherry, herbs and a touch of graphite framed by the oak. In the mouth, the freshness is sharp, the expression juicy and the tannins firm and polished. The flow is bold and expansive with a chalky texture. Drink: 2022-2038. (Nov 2022)"
