94 points Christy Canterbury, MW (TimAtkin.com): "This initially showed some smoky top notes along with chiffonade and sweet cream. Light citrus and Brazil nuts influence the mid-weight palate, too. This is an easy-going Bougros that will drink well young, as long as its current reduction doesn't make it further close down once bottled. (2024)"

92-94 points/'Sweet Spot,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a purchase of must). Be aware that Bailly noted that to this point the Bougros had only seen contact with stainless steel though it's possible he may rack it into barrel for a few months before it's bottled. A cool and reserved nose grudgingly offers up a combination of pronounced smoky mineral reduction, quinine and ocean breeze. The powerful, concentrated and muscular big-bodied flavors possess a lovely sense of underlying tension that also suffuses the crisp, very dry and beautifully long finish. This isn't refined, indeed it's borderline rustic but then again, elegance isn't why one buys Bougros. Drink: 2031+. (Aug 2023)"

91-94 points Jasper Morris, MW: "The Bougros is made from purchased grapes. All in tank so far but will probably have a spell in barrel, to remove the minor reduction. A luminous lemon and lime colour. Actually, the reduction on the nose is minimal, though there are some interesting grenadine notes on the palate which is otherwise not too exuberant. Citrus zest infuses the back of the palate. Drink from 2028-2034. Tasted: July 2023."
