94 points Stephen Reinhardt (Wine Advocate): "The 2018 Riesling GG Jesuitengarten "VDP. Grosse Lage" is deep, precise and intense on the well-defined and spicy-aromatic nose. Lush and piquant on the palate, this is a very elegant, complex and salty-crystalline Jesuitengarten of great class and style. The wine is tight, refined and elegant and reveals a long and persistent finish. Great harmony yet also tension here. A modern classic. Tasted in Deidesheim in December 2019. Drink: 2020-2040. (Jan 2020)"

94 points Stuart Pigott (JamesSuckling.com): "Not only are the limey and lemony aromas racy and fragrant, but they’re also rather concentrated on the nose. Medium-bodied and very crunchy with integrated sensations of citrus and spices. Bone-dry. Drink now or hold. (12/16/19)"

93 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "Smoky, peppery and resinous notes on the nose evoke marjoram and black tea. Peach kernel and bruised apple skin anticipate the prominent piquancy revealed on an otherwise silken palate. A mouthwateringly meaty clam-stock-like savor mingles with the multi-herbal infusion on a surprisingly buoyant finish that leaves the tongue tingling and the salivary glands pumping overtime. Drink: 2021-2030. (Nov 2019)"

93 points Fine Wine Review: "...along with the Rheingau, the middle part of the Pfalz stood out particularly in 2018. The Pfalz in general compares in many ways to Burgundy’s Côte d’Or, and Forst is the counterpart to Vosne-Romanée in that model. And it doesn’t hurt to have great producers to go with the great terroirs... Pear, slight spice nose. Crisp acidity, yellow and white fruits. (10/5/19)"
