97 points Stuart Pigott (JamesSucklling.com): "Biscuit character at first, which reminds me of great vintage champagne, then ripe-mirabelle and citrus character comes through. So succulent and joyful, but all this is tightly focused on a rather small target in the drinker’s mind. And who wouldn't want this wine to press that pleasure button? From biodynamically grown grapes with Respekt certification. Drink or hold. (9/16/20)"

94+ points Stephan Reinhardt (Wine Advocate): "From a plot inside the Mandelgarten, Christmann's 2019 Meerspinne GG is deep, fine and pure on the complex and stony nose. Round and juicy on the palate, this is an intense and juicy, very complex and sustainable Riesling cru with fine salinity, a seamless and chalky texture and with remarkable finesse and vitality. There are lemon flavors and chalky notes on the firm and persistent finish. Very promising. Tasted shortly after the bottling in April 2020. To be released in September this year. Drink: 2026-2036. (Aug 2020)"

93 points Mosel Fine Wines: "AP: 32 20. The 2019er Meerspinne GG, as it is referred to on the consumer label, offers a quite floral and delicate nose of pear, anise, herbs, cumin, nutmeg, and mint. The wine proves superbly playful on the palate, where juicy and not overripe fruits interplay with ripe zesty elements. It reveals a tickly touch of acidity which provides a nice frame to the underlying might and power in the finish. A touch of tartness is present, but will nicely integrate into the wine in just a few years. 2023-2029. (Oct 2020)"

18/20 points Michael Schmidt (JancisRobinson.com): "An almost understated fragrance benefits from a bit of airing to reveal glimpses of yellow fruit, floral nuances and a refreshing herbal breeze. The palate is a little less shy and impresses with the truly juicy fruit of peach, nectarine and grapefruit, before salty minerality and vibrant acidity give a cooler dimension to the flavour. A herbal piquancy adds further sophistication. Drinking Window: 2020-2030. (8/25/20)"
