94-96 points Chris Kissack (Winedoctor): "One of Philippe’s two top limestone cuvées, the 3 hectares of vines for this are located on the slopes just upstream of the town, not far from Le Clos Guillot. The fruit passes 18 months in large barrel, followed by six months in cuve, and it was slated for bottling in September 2020. I was reminded by Pierre that the vines here are aged just 18 years, the domaine’s youngest Cabernet Franc. The aromatics seem to communicate the richness of the vintage very nicely, with scents of dark and roasted fruits, especially damson and blackcurrant, spiced with coffee bean as well as floral and chalky elements. There follows a very elegant and restrained palate, with a supple midweight substance, all wrapped in clean and grippy limestone tannins, and fresh acidity. I find plenty of firm and extracted substance here, with a fresh balance and perfumed fruit. Fine potential in a great vintage. (Feb 2020)"

92 points Rebecca Gibb, MW (Vinous): "Planted in 2001, this two-hectare site sits at the end of the Chinon côteaux on clay-flint. The 2018 Chinon L'Huisserie spent two years aging in both 500-liter barrel and concrete before being bottled. As a result, it is showing a delightfully round, mellow texture and an abundance of resolved tannins. Fine floral and red cherry fruit leaves an attractive scent on the refreshing finish. Drink: 2022-2030. (Oct 2021)"

92 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The single vineyard l’Huisserie bottling from Domaine Alliet is not one of their oldest vine cuvées, as these vines are only a bit more than twenty years of age. The soils here are a thin layer of flint and clay over limestone, with the wine aged in one, two and three year-old demi-muids. The 2018 l’Huisserie is a beautiful bottle of Chinon, offering up a ripe and refined nose of cassis, black cherries, cigar wrapper, dark soil tones, a touch of menthol and a very discreet framing of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, ripe and sappy at the core, with fine-grained tannins, lovely focus and grip and a long, nascently complex finish. This comes in listed at 13.5 percent octane and is probably a tad riper than this, but beautifully balanced and should drink very nicely with only a few years in the cellar. 2026-2055. (May/Jun 2021)"
