93-97 points Fine Wine Review: "The Bonnes-Mares has violet and spices in the nose, along with other floral aromas and crunchy citric fruit. In the mouth, the wine is spicy with violet, citric, blackberry, and black licorice flavors, finesse, depth, and purity. This is a very complex wine and also one that shows finesse that is typical of its position at the southeastern end of Bonnes-Mares. (Feb 2009)"

94 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Fine bright still youthful red, clean and pure aromatics, discreet but promising. More perfume, still discreet, begins to come forward. More weight on the palate than the bouquet suggests, a good thread of acidity, increasing intensity to the back – still a baby but this may become very fine indeed. (Jun 2017)"

93 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a 2.7 ha parcel situated entirely in terres rouges soil in the south west portion of the vineyard). A surprisingly expressive nose displays a broad panoply of ripe floral and fruit aromas that include red raspberry, cherry, plum, violet and rose surrounded by warm soil tones that can also be found on the powerful and tautly muscled large scaled flavors blessed with ample underlying reserves of dry extract that render the relatively refined tannins invisible at present on the explosive and exceptionally deep finish where notes of citrus and floral resurface. A seriously impressive wine of Zen-like harmony and poise. Drink: 2019+. (Jan 2010)"

93 points Stephen Tanzer (International Wine Cellar): "[$360 list] Very good bright red. Complex but youthfully restrained nose hints at dark raspberry, mocha, herbs and smoke. Quite suave for young Bonnes-Mares, with a slightly medicinal quality to the candied fruit and spice flavors. This has the firm acidity of hard candy and seems more red fruit than usual for this cuvee The tannins arrive late, allowing the finish to expand and linger. This is a lovely example of its vintage. (Mar/Apr 2010)"

93+ points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The Comte de Vogüé Bonnes-Mares can often be quite recalcitrant in its youth, with fine purity coupled to a hunkered down and reticent personality that only finds its full expression in the fullness of time. As the lion’s share of the Comte de Vogüé vines in Bonnes-Mares lie in the terres rouges section of the vineyard (known for its structure and powerful personality), the usually reserved nature of this bottling when young is no surprise, but this is emphatically not the case with the 2007. The inherent elegance of the vintage has translated into very deep and very pure Bonnes-Mares that is quite open for inspection in its mélange of black cherries, blackberries, chocolate, herb tones, great minerality, espresso and spicy oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and very pure, with a great base of soil, lovely, nascent complexity, ripe tannins and tangy acids perking up the long and beautifully balanced finish. As fine as young vintage of Comte de Vogüé Bonnes-Mares as I can recall tasting in a long time. 2016-2040+. (Jan/Feb 2009)"

93 points Nick Stock (JamesSuckling.com): "Superb complexity, completeness and depth. Loaded to the hilt with dark fruits, spice, earth, dark chocolate and bracken; tannins are assertive and driving with plenty of power. From 2018. (4/24/14)"
