90 points Josh Raynolds (Vinous): "Bright violet color. A wild, expansive bouquet evokes ripe black and blue fruits, violet, smoked meat and succulent herbs. Chewy and deeply concentrated, offering bitter cherry, cassis and floral pastille flavors that turn sweeter with air. Shows a strong gamy quality on a long, supple, spice-tinged finish that's framed by building tannins. This wild wine won't be everybody's cup of tea but fans of Old School, meaty wines will likely love it. (raised in a combination of a large French oak vat and a single, large concrete tank, followed by eight months in 225 liter French oak barriques) Drink: 2020-2025. (Apr 2019)"
