95 points Susan Hulme MW (The Wine Independent): "This 2018 Val di Suga Brunello di Montalcino has a softly sweet and fragrant nose with a little flowers and very enticing, ripe strawberries and crunchy strawberries that are just on the point of ripeness. There is a gentle sweet spice of oak enveloping the wine but it is subtle and understated. On the palate it is smooth, medium-full bodied with a lovely texture and weight and a gentle twist of chalky, tannins on the finish. The finish is lingering and beautifully handled in this vintage. For this producer and all three of the wines that I have tasted from them in 2018 it feels like they have taken some giant steps forward for this year and that they have done a great job in this 2018 vintage. Drink: 2023-2037. (Feb 2023)"

On the palate, it is medium-bodied, with refined tannins, fresh acidity, and a saline, stony mouthfeel. A lovely wine just full of graceful elegance and polish, its notes of cedar, orange zest, and fresh soil all come together seamlessly.
