Gravel, dried herbs, menthol, cured meat, licorice and red berry fruit give this brawny Zinfandel a good deal of character. The Judge Bell is not an easy wine, but it has so much to offer for those who are willing to take some time with it. Today, the acids and tannins stick out a bit. It will be interesting to see how things end up once this is in bottle. Drink 2024-2036 (Aug 2023)"
