93 points La Revue du Vin de France: "Fresher tone in the fruit of the Gevrey, a powdery and tasty wine, very fulfilling in its sweet fruit and the smoothness of its tannins. (2023)"

89-91 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "60% whole bunch vinification. Glowing deep purple. This time the ripe fruit has a good enough thread of fresh acidity running through, luxurious and sensual but not too black. Florally perfumed. Mostly lower slopes. Still some tannins behind. (Nov 2021)"

88-91 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from Les Cercueils, Jouise, Clos Prieur Bas, Etelois, Vignes Belle, Roncevie and Les Crais). Moderate reduction masks everything except an earthy hint. There is again very good vibrancy to the beautifully detailed middle weight flavors that possess solid depth and persistence on the youthfully austere finale. This is sufficiently structured to need up to a decade to resolve the supporting tannins and add depth. Drink: 2028+. (Jan 2022)"

90+ points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2020 Gevrey villages is another excellent wine chez Trapet. The nose is pure and refined, offering up scents of black cherries, dark berries, gamebird, a fine base of dark soil tones, raw cocoa, a touch of new wood and a smoky topnote. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and again, very elegant in profile out of the blocks, with a fine core, excellent soil undertow, moderate tannins and lovely balance and grip on the focused, complex finish. 2028-2060. (Nov/Dec 2021)"

90 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2020 Gevrey-Chambertin Village has a fragrant and well-defined bouquet given lift by the 30-40% whole bunch. The palate is medium-bodied with crunchy blackberry and raspberry fruit, a little granular in texture with modest weight. Strict and fresh, this delivers an attractive black pepper note on the finish. All that you really want from a Village Gevrey. Drink: 2024-2035. (May 2022)"

90 points Sarah Marsh, MW (The World of Fine Wine): "Fresh and lively, this has fine-textured tannins and elegant balance. Light and pure, with a certain delicacy and finesse. 2025-32. (2022)"
