96 points La Revue du Vin de France: "Nose of violet, liquorice and Sichuan pepper, delicate and chiseled fruit in Petite Chapelle, rich wine with notes of liquorice on the finish. Finely tangy, it is full of pep. (2022)"

95 points Bettane & Desseauve Guide (2023).

93-95 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2019 Gevrey-Chambertin Petite Chapelle 1er Cru is very precise on the nose, more so than the Clos-Prieur, offering black cherries, raspberry and crushed stone. This is supremely well focused, though the 60% whole bunch is more noticeable at the moment compared to other cuvées. The palate is well balanced with very good structure. This fills the mouth with vibrant Pinot Noir. The whole bunch addition is quite conspicuous toward the finish, suggesting that it should be cellared for 4–5 years. This has great potential, just like the Petite Chapelle from Dugat-Py. Drink: 2024-2045. (Dec 2020)"

92-94 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "Aromas of peonies and orange rind complement scents of cherries, cassis and rich coniferous forest floor in an incipiently complex bouquet, introducing Trapet's 2019 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Petite Chapelle, a medium to full-bodied, deep and vibrant wine that's seamless and complete, with powdery tannins, lively acids and a concentrated core of fruit. (Jan 2021)"

92-94 points Jasper Morris, MW: "Glowing deep purple. Rather a classic nose, perhaps more fruit weight compared to their cousins’ excellent wine this year, ripe but balanced, dark raspberry fruit, good acidity, a few tannins. Petite Chapelle never fills out the palate, it is more about delicacy and length. This is certainly very persistent. (Nov 2020)"
