98+ points Lisa Perrotti-Brown (Wine Advocate): "Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2013 Run Rig has a tantalizingly exotic nose of cloves, fenugreek, star anise and cassia with a core of mulberries, baked blackberries and blueberry preserves plus hints of potpourri and dusty earth. The full-bodied palate is multi-layered with tons of spices and berry preserves notes, supported by firm yet velvety tannins and finishing with incredible length and depth. This is a very impressive RunRig. Drink: 2018-2035. (Jun 2016)"

97 points James Suckling: "A phenomenal nose to this with mussel shell, moss, blackberry, green tea, and stone. Full body, powerful and rich with so much character and intensity. Juicy. Intense. Drink or hold. (7/17/17)"

96 points Wine Spectator: "[$225 list] This is tremendous, opening up chocolaty and creamy, with wild raspberry and cherry flavors that expand to detailed notes of nutmeg, licorice and dried rose petal. An expressive red, lingering on a smooth, velvety body. Shiraz and Viognier. Drink now through 2030. 1,250 cases made. Highly Recommended. (2/28/17)"

95 points Josh Raynolds (Vinous): "[$225 list] (45 percent new French oak) Bright purple. An assertively perfumed bouquet evokes ripe black and blue fruits, Indian spices, sandalwood, vanilla and smoky minerals, while a suave floral pastille topnote builds in the glass. Deeply concentrated yet energetic blackberry, boysenberry, fruitcake and cola flavors unfold slowly, picking up allspice, black cardamom and mocha notes on the back half. Shows outstanding thrust and clarity on a sweet, supple, strikingly long finish shaped by smooth, building tannins. Drink: 2022-2032. (Oct 2017)"
