91 points Connoisseurs' Guide: "Near subliminal notes of dried herbs and flowers sit ever so quietly to the side of ripe cherries and sweet oak in this nicely focused offering's solidly varietal, moderately deep aromas, and, the carefully composed flavors that follow are similarly centered on cherries, and the wine lets fruit rather than ripeness define its course. It is never one for bombast or bluster, yet it is far from being stunted or small, and it succeeds on the merits of its vitality, its fine sense of proportion and its insistent impressions of quiet strength. (Jun 2016)"

90 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(22% whole cluster, 243 cases, 13.9%). This is sufficiently reduced to require a thorough aeration if you're going to try a bottle young. Otherwise there is good verve and density to the delicious and caressing yet powerful middle weight plus flavors that possess a trace of warmth on the focused and lingering finish. This isn't without potential issues as it's not certain that the reduction will necessarily dissipate with age though my score offers the benefit of the doubt that it will. Drink: 2022+. (Apr 2017)"
