Producer notes: "Our traditional wine, blended from our 7 plots on Mont Brouilly. Tasting notes: Garnet red with bluish glints, bouquet of hawthorn, peonies, cherry, with a touch of minerality, round on the palate with black fruit, and a spicy finish. We recommend enjoying them after the second year, with a 5–10 years keeping potential. Food pairing: Red meats, fatted duck breast, lightly-spiced dishes, Lyon cuisine."

The bouquet is just beautiful, featuring vivacious red cherries, kirsch, crushed violets and iris flower. The palate is medium-bodied with very lithe, almost saturated tannins, and poised and lightly spiced toward the finish. A gorgeous Côte de Brouilly, but give it two years in bottle (if you can resist). Drink: 2023-2035."
