El Nacimiento (The Birthplace) takes its name for the fact that there is a spring coming out of the ground and is the place where the water gives birth to Agua Nueva (new water) River. It is the largest ranch of Carlos Camarena (Ocho's Master Distiller). This ranch has the characteristic mineral red soil of the highlands of Jalisco, it is in the center of the Golden Triangle of Agave, with an average elevationof 2,075 meters above sea level. At the moment of harvest the agave was fully mature and with 29-30% sugar content.
