94 points Monica Larner (Wine Advocate): "The Tenuta di Biserno 2021 Il Pino di Biserno is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. The Cabernet-adjacent aromas come through nicely with dark fruit, blackberry and exotic spice. The wine is full-bodied in texture and structure, although it manages slightly more contained richness on the mid-palate. That gives Il Pino a more accessible disposition. It closes with a bright note of sweet cherry. Drink: 2024-2035. (5/31/23)"
90 points Georgina Hindle (Decanter): "Ripe but in a different style to the others Tuscan wines released on the Place this month, much more blackcurrant and dark fruits than red berries with dark purple floral flecks. Smells alluring though. Smells and tastes more like a Bordeaux with the Cabernet tones and Petit Verdot really sticking out. Has a density to it no doubt, with concentration and a certain weight on the palate. A little massy and fleshy but retains a cool core with some blueberry fruit and cola flecks. Good overall texture and persistence with body and brightness. Everything is in its place, harmonious and balanced, maybe just a little less elegant than some but there's purity, decent definition and freshness. Director Niccolo Marzichi Lenzi, winemaker Helena Lindberg. Drinking Window: 2023-2034. (2/8/23)"
90 points Bruce Sanderson (Wine Spectator): "[$81 list] A spicy version, displaying black pepper and sweet spices to match the black cherry and blackberry flavors. Delivers moderate grip on the lingering, spicy finish. Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. Drink now through 2027. (10/31/23)"
