93 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2017 Nuits-Saint-Georges Aux Argillats [sic] 1re Cru has a lovely, vivacious and generous bouquet of dark cherries, violet, hints of meat juices and brown spices. The palate is medium-bodies with crisp tannins, very well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, and quite strict and linear at the moment, but I appreciate the depth and persistence on the aftertaste. One that is saving itself for later. Drink: 2023-2038. (Jan 2020)"

92 points Tim Atkin. MW (Decanter): "One of a pair of impressive Nuits premiers crus in Guillaume Tardy's range, again located on the Vosne side of the village. This comes from clay soils, as its name suggests, and there's a little bit of influence from the combe here, but it's still a smooth, supple Pinot with stylish oak, silky tannins and a refreshing tang on the finish.. Drinking Window: 2021-2028. (Nov 2018)"

16.5++/100 Julia Harding MW (JancisRobinson.com<): "Mid-crimson. Dark-fruited and spicy on the nose. Elegant and refined in a rather sober style. Tannins are just a little chewy at the moment but everything is in place for the future. Good length too. (Jan 2019)"
