It has a heady, almost intoxicating, bouquet with mulled spice, stewed cherry and cured tobacco delivered in generous waves and rich volume. The wine's personality ultimately plays out as strong and simple, and these adjectives hit the nail on the head, in my opinion. It does offer smooth transitions, thanks to its velvety tannins, and is quite fleshed out on the finish. You do feel the 15% alcohol content. This is a 5,000-bottle release. Drink: 2025-2042.
