95 points Amanda Barnes (Decanter): "Complex yet balanced blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Notes of deep spice, wild herb, plum. A young wine that shows the great potential of Agrelo blends – will age for decades. Drinking Window: 2020-2035. (Feb 2020)"

94 points Luis Gutiérrez (Wine Advocate): "[$45 list] The updated classical 2018 Brioso belongs to the Signature Series and is serious, balanced and with a certain austerity that I liked. It was produced with 43% Cabernet Sauvignon, 26% Malbec, 17% Cabernet Franc and 14% Petit Verdot from Agrelo and matured in new barrels for 15 months. Even so, the wine has integrated oak, ripe flavors and aromas, and a full body with great balance and freshness. 48,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in November 2019. It should develop nicely in bottle. Drink: 2021-2030. (3/31/21)"

94 points Tim Atkin, MW: "(14.5%) Gone is the American oak that used to feature on this wine in favour of 100% new French barrels instead. Vineyards in Agrelo close to the winery supply the fruit for this serious, ambitious assemblage of Cabernet Sauvignon with Malbec, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Chewy and intense, it has the power and structure to age further in bottle, with inky black fruit and toasty wood. 2023-2030."

93 points Wine Spectator: "[$45 list] Big and rich, with unctuous dark berry, plum tart and cherry pastry flavors that are lavishly spiced. Hints of dried green herbs on the structured finish that offers hints of anise. Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Drink now through 2026. 450 cases imported. (12/31/20)"

93 points James Suckling: "This cabernet sauvignon-based blend shows currants, spice and hints of fresh herbs and roses. Medium to full body. Firm, integrated tannins. Flavorful finish. Succulent and fine. Drink or hold. (2/28/20)"

92 points Joaquín Hidalgo (Vinous): "[$45 list] A blend from Agrelo, Luján de Cuyo, Brioso is 43% Cabernet Sauvignon, 26% Malbec, 17% Cabernet Franc and 14% Petit Verdot aged for 15 months in French barrels. Dark garnet in hue. The fruit comes through loud and clear on the nose, which offers plum, cherry, violets and black currants, all brought out by the pyrazine. Complex and multilayered, the palate is juicy with slightly spiky clay tannins and a lengthy menthol and herb finish. A well-made wine. Drink: 2020-2028. (Oct. 2020)"
