The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins matched by a keen thread of acidity, a touch of white pepper towards the finish that imparts greater length. This is very promising. Drink: 2025-2048. Here the ripe and equally fresh nose is even earthier with similar suggestions of the sauvage adding breadth to the dark raspberry and poached plum scents. There is excellent energetic that also possess fine size, weight and richness while culminating in an overtly saline-inflected, youthfully austere and beautifully long finish that is even more tightly wound. The bouquet shows a beautiful array of spice tones to augment notes of red and black cherries, smoked meats, a complex base of soil, woodsmoke and a nice touch of cedar. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and precise, with a sappy core of fruit, really lovely mineral undertow and grip, bright acids and a long, fine-grained and classy finish.
