93-96 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Excellent weight of purple, there is more energy to the fruit, a superb freshness, little points of alpine fruit, greater volume and intensity than Lavaux, floral notes, complex and really fine. The young vines are now included which Cyrielle thinks helps bring out more minerality. (Nov 2021)"

92-94 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "Aromas of rich berry fruit, plums and cherries mingling with warm spices, licorice, black truffle and loamy soil in an inviting bouquet introduce the 2020 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Les Cazetiers, a medium to full-bodied, ample and gourmand wine that's sensual and enveloping, with lively acids, melting tannins and a long, perfumed finish. (1/20/22)"

92-94 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2020 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Cazetiers 1er Cru has a much more focused and intense bouquet compared to the Lavaux: dark berries, sous-bois and touches of incense that all gain momentum with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins matched by a keen thread of acidity, a touch of white pepper towards the finish that imparts greater length. This is very promising. Drink: 2025-2048. (Dec 2021)"

91-94 points/'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a .6 ha parcel of 50+ year old vines). Here the ripe and equally fresh nose is even earthier with similar suggestions of the sauvage adding breadth to the dark raspberry and poached plum scents. There is excellent energetic that also possess fine size, weight and richness while culminating in an overtly saline-inflected, youthfully austere and beautifully long finish that is even more tightly wound. Patience strongly suggested. Drink: 2035+. (Jan 2023)"

93 points Christy Canterbury, MW (TimAtkin.com) (2022)

92 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2020 Cazetiers chez Rousseau is another absolutely stellar wine in the making. The bouquet shows a beautiful array of spice tones to augment notes of red and black cherries, smoked meats, a complex base of soil, woodsmoke and a nice touch of cedar. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and precise, with a sappy core of fruit, really lovely mineral undertow and grip, bright acids and a long, fine-grained and classy finish. Lovely juice. 2032-2080. (Nov/Dec 2021)"
