93-95 points Jasper Morris, MW: "The ‘old vines’ are 100 and the ‘young’ vines are 60. Half the ancient vines have now been pulled out but their replacements are not yet in service. Ripe fresh purple, the nose has a little more precision and floral subtlety than the Lavaux. The whole wine is beautifully constructed, perhaps a touch more oak showing at the back, fine boned, some mineral freshness. Very lovely. (Nov 2018)"

92-94 points Neal Martin (Vinous) "The 2017 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Cazetiers 1er Cru is a step up from the Lavaux Saint-Jacques: more intensity, more red fruit, perhaps even more panache. According to Cyrielle Rousseau this had just started to open up the week of my visit. The palate is medium-bodied with silky smooth tannin, quite plush red fruit, rounded and sensual with a very precise finish that fans out with aeration. This might be the most seductive 2017 from Rousseau this year. Drink: 2022-2040. (Jan 2019)

91-94 points Fine Wine Review: "The Gevrey-Cazetiers has dark and spicy fruit aromas. The mouth is spicy with red fruits, good structure, and more weight than the previous wines. (3/18/19)"

93 points Tim Atkin, MW (Decanter): "Cazetiers was picked early in 2017 as it tends to be quite a ripe site. According to Cyrielle Rousseau, this sometimes shows some reduction in its youth, but that's not the case here. Rose petal and wild strawberry scents lead you into a palate that's spicy, supple and sweetly oaked. Drink: 2022-2027. (Nov 2018)"
