97-99 points Jasper Morris, MW: "Beginning with the hugely deep but very fresh purple colour, The Roumier 2019 Bonnes Mares shows its majesty from the outset. The nose is backward, but clear and pure. It is much more in pure deep raspberry and less wild on the nose than it can be. Such harmony on the palate, this is exquisite, a very noble Bonnes Mares with optimum purity and one of the most persistent finishes of the year. Brilliant! (Nov 2020)"

98 points/'Le Coup de Coeur,' La Revue du Vin de France: "Sanguine character, spherical and voluminous mouth in the brilliant Bonnes-Mares whose calcareous luster pierces a racy and briny chew. With a touch of graphite and cocoa, it reaches fullness and is carried by a fresh breath despite the tannic mass. (2022)"

96-98 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2019 Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru includes around three-quarters whole bunch fruit and is matured in one-third new oak. Despite the small reduction on the nose, there is clearly impressive intensity in this Grand Cru, but it is more backward and more broody than the 2018 tasted from barrel 12 months earlier. With time, there are traces of iodine and Japanese nori. The palate is medium-bodied with very fine tannins that frame the pure blackberry and bilberry fruit, awash with superb salinity that gets the saliva flowing. Certainly a more intellectual Bonnes-Mares, it gains depth and density toward a finish that feels exceptionally long on the aftertaste. God created wine so that Christophe Roumier could make fermented grape juice like this. Drink: 2025-2055. (Dec 2020)"

97 points Charles Curtis, MW (Decanter): "From the 1.6ha owned by the domaine over several plots throughout the appellation, this is a blend that has produced a sublime result. 80% of the grapes are fermented as whole clusters and the wine is aged in 30% new casks (9 out of 30). There are super-ripe dark fruit aromas of great complexity, with savoury and mineral notes on the attack, allied with a marvellous depth on the palate, with the length driven by a good bit of tannin. Drinking Window: 2029-2059. (Oct 2020)"

94-96 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2019 Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru unwinds in the glass with scents of raspberries, cherries, warm spices, rose petals, peonies and violets. Full-bodied, muscular and concentrated, it's rich and structured, with bright acids and prodigious reserves of powdery tannin. Broad-shouldered and powerful, it will—as usual—require patience. (Jan 2021)"

95 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from six different parcels totaling 1.89 ha that are divided between 30% terres rouges and 70% terres blanches). Ripe and exuberantly floral aromas possess intricate layering and plenty of spice along with a suggestion of earth. Once again there is a lovely texture to the succulent, round and sappy big-bodied flavors that coat the palate and particularly so on the moderately austere finale that displays simply superb length. This very powerful and impeccably well-balanced effort is shaped by dense but notably fine-grained tannins that should enable this to see its 30th birthday in fine fettle. In short, this is stunningly good. Drink: 2036+. (Jan 2022)"
