The nose jumps from the glass in a mix of black raspberries, black cherries, a touch of balsamic overtones, dark soil, coffee grounds and chocolate. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, ripe and chewy, with a fine core, good soil signature and a long, ripely tannic and fairly powerful finish. This will need time and perhaps get a touch overripe with age, but it will always have impressive depth, length and grip. 2030-2055. (Nov/Dec 2022)"
